Roimata Pounamu Tears on Greenstone Memorial. A memorial to honour the lives of the fallen soldiers in their service to New Zealand.

Situated in the heart of the museum, our Medal Repository houses approximately 10,000 individual medals including Charles Upham VC & Bar.

Visitors are able to get a close-up view of our heritage military vehicles.

Don't miss the Memorial Greenstone Wall, extensive medal, artillery & weapons collections, iconic military vehicles, life-like displays, Kids Headquarters and Research Centre. Guided experiences are highly recommended. Combine a museum visit with a soldier's lunch at The Mess Tent and a browse around the Quartermaster Store. Facilities include: Cafe, Gift Shop, Research Centre, Guided experiences, Greenstone Memorial, Kids Area, education programmes, meeting facilities, and ample parking. Campervans welcome overnight.
