From Saturday April the 20th to Sunday the 28th we are holding our first Region wide coordinated Art Trail Event for the Adventure Highway Art Trail, which will be open during the school Holidays and Anzac weekend. During this time Artists will have their Studios open to visit from 10 am to 3 pm marked by Blue Flags outside their properties. In some instances, you’ll need to call first as indicated on the Art Trail Map before visiting.
Across the region, artists and art galleries will be holding exhibitions that tie in with the Adventure Highway Art Trail Open Studios Event. In Raetihi and Taumarunui, there will be an exhibition of artists' work participating in the Art Trail, along with other local artists, together with local art and craft workshops. Up north in Waitomo, there will be a local exhibition featuring artists from Waitomo, Te Kuiti, and Pio Pio. The venue and possible workshops are yet to be established. We'll be posting regularly on our Facebook page.
All Artists featuring in the The Adventure Art Trail will so have at least a couple of sample Artworks in three main Exhibitions during the week of the 20th to the 28th April
