Blue Duck Station
Located in the Ruapehu district on the banks of the Whanganui and Retaruke rivers and surrounded by Whanganui National Park, Blue Duck Station is an outdoor enthusiast's playground.
Blue Duck Station offers a variety of accommodation options including 3 self contained exclusive lodges ideal for friends or families, double or twin ensuite rooms at Frontier Lodge ideal for a couple and also comfortable converted shearers quarters Whio lodge and bush cabins for larger group accommodation. Situated across 8kms of the station each lodge offers a different view across native bush, farmland or the Whanganui river. All the lodges are an ideal base for a few nights stay to relax and enjoy the many outdoor activities that Blue Duck Station has on offer. All the lodges are set up for self catering but we also have a café here which is open Thursday to Monday 8am to 3pm. Dinner can also be provided by pre-arrangement.
